The Dempster highway is Canada's most northern highway that runs close to 500 miles from Inuvik, Northwest Territories in
the MacKenzie River Delta to Dawson City in the Yukon. It crosses the Arctic Circle and is one of the most senic and wilderness
road trips available in the world. With the exception of the community of Fort McPherson there is only one gas station/motel
on the route at the halfway point of the highway.
The dempster highway passes across the Arctic Circle in the Yukon. We, Linda and Gary, invite you to browse through our web
site and see something of the north. Please check now and again as we add more pictures. Enjoy you self. Smaller pictures
can be made larger by clicking on them. Check out the weather and road conditions and cary appropriate supplies and alays
have a couple of spare tires.
Both summer and winter are great times to drive the Dempster. Be cautious though, this is wilderness country.
